Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
This policy explains what information Flipbook handles when you use the browser extension’s capture-credit system. It is written to be short and honest. If anything is unclear, email sajidbhaithe1hpgod@gmail.com.
The short version
The contents of your captures never leave your device. Your frames, montages, and screen recordings are written only to your own computer. We do not upload, view, or store them. We never see your payment-card details.
What we collect
- An anonymous device ID. The extension generates a random identifier (a UUID) on your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and we use it only to track how many capture credits you have left.
- Capture counts. When you finish a take, the extension sends that device ID and a random per-take identifier to our credit service so we can subtract one credit. We do not receive the images, video, window titles, or any content from the take.
- Purchase records. When you buy a credit pack, our Merchant of Record (Dodo Payments) sends us a record of the purchase — an order identifier, the number of credits, and a license key — so we can add your credits. Dodo handles your name, email, and payment details under their own privacy policy; we do not receive card numbers.
- Basic request data. Like any web service, our servers briefly see the network (IP) address and timestamp of requests. We use this only to prevent abuse and rate-limit fraud, and we do not build profiles from it.
What we do not collect
- The contents of your captures (images, video, montages) — these stay on your device.
- Your payment-card details — these go directly to Dodo Payments.
- Analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking — Flipbook has none.
Who processes your data
- Dodo Payments — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, tax, and refunds. See their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the credit service and the small database that stores your anonymous device ID, credit balance, and purchase records.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the processors above.
How long we keep it
We keep your device ID, balance, and purchase records for as long as they are needed to run the credit service and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Transient request logs are retained only briefly for abuse prevention.
Your choices
Because we do not tie the device ID to your identity, the simplest way to erase your local data is to remove the extension. To request deletion of the balance and purchase records associated with a device ID, or to ask what we hold, email sajidbhaithe1hpgod@gmail.com with that device ID and we will action it.
Children
Flipbook is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country).
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
